Cos'è SMETA?
SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) è una compilation del best practice per gli audit etici, istituita dal Sedex Associate Auditor Group (AAG). Non si tratta di uno standard o di una procedura di certificazione separati, ma di una serie di protocolli per audit di alta qualità, da utilizzare insieme alle attuali prassi consolidate per l'esecuzione degli audit etici. SMETA è stato ideato per minimizzare le sovrapposizioni e per fornire ai membri AAG un formato per l'audit che potessero condividere facilmente. I rapporti SMETA vengono pubblicati dai membri dell'Associate Auditor Group nel sistema SEDEX, garantendo trasparenza e un'efficace condivisione delle informazioni
La Metodologia di Audit SMETA
Gli audit SMETA utilizzano il Codice Base ETI, basato sulle norme dell'Organizzazione Internazionale del Lavoro, così come sulle leggi locali pertinenti. Gli Audit SMETA possono essere eseguiti sulla base di due o quattro pilastri dell'auditing. I due pilastri obbligatori per qualsiasi audit SMETA sono gli Standard in materia di Lavoro, e quelli in materia di Salute e Sicurezza. I due pilastri aggiuntivi in audit "a 4 pilastri" sono stati introdotti per approfondire ulteriormente gli aspetti della responsabilità sociale degli audit SMETA.
Un audit SMETA a 2 pilastri comprende i seguenti moduli:
- Standard in materia di Lavoro
- Standard in materia di Salute e Sicurezza
- Elementi Aggiuntivi:
- Management Systems
- Diritto al Lavoro
- Subappalto e Lavoro da casa
- Valutazione ambientale (versione ridotta)
Un audit SMETA a 4 pilastri copre gli elementi di cui sopra, più:
- Valutazione ambientale (versione estesa)
- Etica Aziendale
Competenza SMETA
Essendo membro del Sedex Associate Auditor Group, QIMA può eseguire audit SMETA in conformità con le più recenti Linee Guida per le Best Practice (SMETA 6.0). I nostri auditor altamente qualificati eseguono osservazioni in loco, effettuano interviste con il management della fabbrica e con i dipendenti, ispezionano la documentazione fornita dalla fabbrica e presentano le risultanze in un Rapporto di Audit SMETA. Sulla base del rapporto di audit, i nostri esperti possono preparare un Corrective Action Plan Report (CAPR), in cui vengono delineati i miglioramenti che la fabbrica deve apportare per raggiungere la conformità.
